Villas on the edge of ravines, wellness resorts, galleries and restaurants set in gardens. Humidity stays high all year because it is green and rains often, and that changes the kind of problem that shows up on a floor.
The floors we usually find in Ubud
Paras Jogja stone, andesite and terrazzo. In Ubud the enemy is moss and surface mould far more than scratching. Adding shine without sealing the pores only lasts until the next wet season.
How we work
The sequence is the same everywhere: eight diamond pads run in order from grit 50 to 3000 with none skipped, then locked in with crystallization. What changes by location is where we stop. Indoor floors go all the way to a mirror shine, while outdoor paths that get wet are deliberately finished matte so they stay safe underfoot. See the full sequence.
We measure the finish with a gloss meter rather than guessing, and we show you the reading before the crew leaves. See photos of completed work.

Questions from customers in Ubud
- My stone floor grows moss again every wet season.
- That is because the pores are open and hold water. Polishing alone does not solve it. After polishing, the pores need sealing so water cannot sit in them, and that is what slows the moss down.
- My villa is deep in a garden with limited power.
- Mention it at the site visit. Polishing machines draw a fair amount of power, and if the supply on site is not enough we bring our own generator.
