Clifftop villas facing the sea and clifftop resorts. Sea wind carries salt all year and the sun hits without anything in the way, and both matter a great deal to stone in open areas.
The floors we usually find in Uluwatu
Paras stone, andesite and terrazzo on terraces and around pools. The work most often requested is lifting salt crust and restoring colour faded by direct sun.
How we work
The sequence is the same everywhere: eight diamond pads run in order from grit 50 to 3000 with none skipped, then locked in with crystallization. What changes by location is where we stop. Indoor floors go all the way to a mirror shine, while outdoor paths that get wet are deliberately finished matte so they stay safe underfoot. See the full sequence.
We measure the finish with a gloss meter rather than guessing, and we show you the reading before the crew leaves. See photos of completed work.

Questions from customers in Uluwatu
- The paras stone on my terrace has faded. Can the colour come back?
- Mostly yes. Fading is generally an oxidised surface layer with the original colour still underneath. After polishing, the surface is sealed so it does not fade as quickly again.
- Access to my villa is narrow and steep. Is that a problem?
- Usually not, but please mention it up front. Polishing machines are heavy, so if the access drops away sharply or has steps we bring a smaller unit and extra hands to move it.
