Andesite and paras stone dominate outdoors because they stay grippy when wet. In Jimbaran the work is more often about lifting moss, salt crust and sea spray marks than chasing a mirror shine.
How we work
The sequence is the same everywhere: eight diamond pads run in order from grit 50 to 3000 with none skipped, then locked in with crystallization. What changes by location is where we stop. - My terrace near the beach has a white crust. What is that?
- Salt deposited out of sea spray, and it holds moss in place too. It comes off with a specific clean, after which the surface is sealed so the next round of deposit does not soak straight in.
- Should andesite around the pool be made glossy?
- Better not. Andesite on wet routes is deliberately finished matte so it does not get slippery. What we do there is clear the pores and bring the colour back, not raise the gloss.
